Product FAQs What if I can't find a Truck-bedz for my model pickup truck? Let us know your pick up truck cargo area dimensions and we'll help you determine which model will best fit your particular vehicle. All Truck-bedz are made to be flexible and fit many models and different years of trucks. Why are there two different Truck-bedz mattress types? Truck-bedz “Expedition Series” are the original version and are made from extra heavy duty 420d nylon backpack fabric bonded with a super strong polyurethane coating and then RF welded into shape. Very stout. The F250 truck on our home page is sitting on top of a couple of Expedition Series Truck-bedz. The more economical Truck-bedz “Weekender Series” are made from heavy duty PVC material and made with all design features found in the original Truck-bedz but offered at much lower prices for those campers on a tighter budget. Do you make Truck-bedz for SUV's, Van's or other vehicles? Yes, we now offer our Expedition Series Truck-bedz in a size that fits many SUV's, step side trucks and many models of vans and minivans. Provide us with the dimensions of your vehicle and we will determine the model that best fits your vehicle. What is the best way to inflate my Truck-bedz? Our Truck-bedz come with two dual stage heavy duty boat valves to assist with inflation and deflation. The easiest method to inflate your Truck-bedz is to open the outer valve cap (the square one) and insert the appropriate nozzle fully into the opening. Turn on the pump. The Truck-bedz will begin inflating immediately and should be full within 3-5 minutes. Some people prefer a faster method to inflate the Truck-bedz. Open the larger lower valve (the round one) and insert the largest nozzle straight into the Truck-bedz. This will fill the bed in less than one minute. However once the air pump nozzle is removed, some air will leak out, so you'll have to replace the round valve cap and open the square cap with the one way valve to top off any lost air. What is the best way to empty and roll my Truck-bedz so that it fits into the carry bag? Open both round valves completely and let the air flow out. Once most of the air is out start folding the full width from the far end (away from the valves) in about 6" widths. Continue to roll the folded portions over until you have a single large full width roll. Close one of the valves completely and fold over about 1/3 of roll and squeeze out more air. Fold over the remaining 1/3 and squeeze out the last air before closing the second valve. For detailed instructions, please click here. Why is my Truck-bedz mattress softer in the morning? It's called Physics, hot air expands and cold air contracts. When you fill your Truck-bedz in mid afternoon and it's 75 degrees and then wake up and it's only 35 degrees you should expect that the bed will be much softer despite no air leaking out. The best course of action is to top it off right before bedtime since it will have already cooled down for the evening. Sometimes this is a few seconds with the pump and sometimes only a quick couple of breathes through the one way valves is required. Do I need to do anything special to care for my Truck-bedz? No special care is required however we recommend storing your Truck-bedz in our heavy duty “wedge” carry bag. If it gets too dirty you can hose it down or scrub it with a mild detergent. Just be sure to let it air dry before rolling it up again. What should I do if I have a problem with my Truck-bedz? Contact us and explain your concern and we will make every effort to resolve your issue and assure your satisfaction. Should we use our Truck-bedz as a trampoline? What about as an open ocean floating swim platform? Can I use it as a dirigible if I fill it with Helium? No and No and certainly Not. Truck-bedz are intended to be used as an indoor/outdoor sleeping platform and they are not intended to be used for other purposes. Use of Truck-bedz for purposes other than “sleeping” may void your warranty. |
